ur
flagship walking tour introduces you to the haunted history of Milwaukee's Third Ward. You'll hear ghost stories,
surprising tales of true crime, and Fortean folklore (all documented through historical research, archival newspaper
reports, and firsthand accounts). This tour is frequently updated with new information from ongoing investigations. Check out our brochure (PDF).
Join us for a nostalgic stroll through this charming art district that in the 1800s was the roughest ghetto in Milwaukee once known as the "Bloody Third". Haunted history walking tours of the
"Bloody Third" are available most Fridays and Saturdays (and by appointment) from May through November. The cost is $10 per
person (cash only). We have limited availability for Halloween weekend. Please call ahead to ensure your spot.
Tours are limited to small groups to provide patrons with the best possible experience, so you must call 414-807-7862
and make a reservation. Tours depart from the front of the Milwaukee Market on
Water St. and St. Paul in Milwaukee's Third Ward at 7 p.m.
What to expect? Haunted history tours are not like Halloween haunted houses. No rent-a-ghouls have been hired
to jump out and startle you. However, if you're captivated by local folklore, into legend tripping,
a student of Milwaukee history, or just interested in sparking your imagination with strange tales
about Milwaukee, this tour is for you.
We are always interested in collecting new stories about unusual events in the Third Ward as well as all other areas
of the Milwaukee Metro area. If would like to contribute your story or know someone who would, please submit it
using the Share Your Story form or email it to info@milwaukeeghosts.com.
